Using the team matcher

This platform is provided to help eligible Canvathon Africa participants form teams of three within their selected physical event hub. By joining a team, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Your registration

• Provide accurate information, including a working email address and WhatsApp number.
• Use your first and last name.
• Provide your correct T-shirt size and physical attendance availability.
• Provide your university or institution.
• Join only one team and do not register another person without their permission.
• Allow your name and contact details to be shared with the other two members of your team.

Team communication

When your team is complete, the platform may email each member with the names, email addresses, WhatsApp numbers, and private team link for the other members. You must use those details only for Canvathon team coordination and must not publish, sell, or misuse them.

Availability and changes

Team spaces are offered while available. Organisers may correct duplicate or fraudulent registrations, remove harmful content, pause matching, or make reasonable changes required for the event. The platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.

Team application and event participation

Forming a team, creating a shared team space, or submitting team details does not guarantee participation. A complete team must submit one shared motivation and confirm its team lead. Organisers review applications by team and notify all three members by email if the team is shortlisted or cannot be accommodated. Separate event eligibility requirements and organiser instructions still apply.
